Copy me, CopycubCopycub, who imitates everything that his mother bear does, follows her to their den when winter comes and snow begins to fall. (worldcat.org)

This is a beautiful story about a mother bear and her copycub exploring their forest and preparing for winter hibernation. The illustrations are in warm tones, and the story itself is well paced and fun to read. This would be ideal for a toddler or family storytime, but it is too wordy for a baby storytime. Although it is set during the winter, I think this would make a great selection for a mother’s day storytime. It also works for storytime themes on bears, hibernation, and winter.
