Pet washWally & Gene open up a Pet Wash and clean all animals from cats to rhinos to kangaroos, but draw the line at baby brothers. This is a fun,  short and colorful book that can be used to cover animals, as well as numbers, colors, and different concepts such as clean & dirty. This would be great as a library story time selection because of the short rhymes and the inventive animal cleaning mechanisms.

I would use this for either a baby or a toddler storytime because of the length of the book and the ability to draw different activities from the pages. This is a great book to get kids to interact with the story time, either by making animal sounds, counting the different animals washed, counting the number of kids per page, or by playing a memory game by recounting what animals have been washed. An even more fun use of this book would be to create a felt story pieces to use to tell the story, rather than reading straight from the book.
